Sandford Parish National School is a co-educational primary school located in Ranelagh, Dublin 6, under the patronage of the Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin and Glendalough. With an enrolment of 195 pupils, we are proud of our inclusive ethos and warmly welcome children of all faiths and none.
At Sandford Parish N.S., children are at the centre of all we do. Together with the school community, the staff and I are committed to nurturing each child to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. This is achieved within a caring, respectful, and well-resourced environment where every child is known and valued. As a single-stream school, we foster a strong sense of community, where positive relationships underpin learning and wellbeing.
We deliver the full Primary School Curriculum while placing a strong emphasis on holistic development. Our pupils benefit from rich learning experiences alongside a wide range of extracurricular activities, including chess, drama, Lego club, and a variety of sporting opportunities such as athletics, soccer, hockey, and tag rugby. Our choir also enjoys performing at assemblies and parish events and participating in Córfhéile na Scoileanna.
Education is most successful when there is close collaboration between home and school. Our dedicated staff and supportive Board of Management work in partnership with parents and guardians to ensure each child’s educational experience is positive, meaningful, and rewarding. Our active Parent Teacher Association also plays a vital role in school life, supporting initiatives, organising events, and fostering a strong sense of community.
As our pupils complete their primary education, they move on as confident, capable, and well-rounded young people, ready to embrace the next stage of their learning journey. We are proud of the way they engage, participate, and strive to do their best.
